innocent: "We are afraid [of GPlay]"

Gamers2 are about to meet GPlay in the last round of SLTV StarSeries XIII Finals group stage, and their playoff fate hangs in the balance. We caught up with Paweł "innocent" Mocek one hour before the deciding clash starts.

Gamers2 had a good first day in Kiev, Ukraine, when they defeated HellRaisers and Natus Vincere, and only lost to FlipSid3.

Today, however, they added a second loss to their record (8-16 against EnVyUs) and now sit at 2-2 going into the last round against GPlay.

innocent's Gamers2 need a win against GPlay to go through

We caught Paweł "⁠innocent⁠" Mocek here at the event as they prepare for the match to hear his thoughts about the match:

You had some great games, some not so great, and it all comes down to this last match against GPlay. Are you afraid of them?

Yes we are afraid, because they practically upset every team they could, they had only close scores. The least rounds they had was 12.

So I would say they are playing the best after FlipSid3, who are the best right now. So we are afraid of them.

What do you need to do to beat them? Do you believe in the win?

Yea actually we believe we can beat them. We don't have a lot of experience, but we have more than GPlay. I guess that it will be just a mind game, and if we will be cool we will win.

Obviously we played well so far, so I think it's gonna be the toughest game.

Who do you think will be their best player against you?

I would say v1c7oR or dream3r, they are the star players of this team.

What map would you like? What do you think would be an advantage for you?

We will probably end up on Cache or Cobblestone. I'm not entirely sure which one we will play, but we're fine with those maps and it's gonna be close. But if we just play cool and play our game, not stress, we have a big chance to win.

Anything can happen on the server and it all depends on the pistols, it's best of 1. Whoever wins two pistol rounds will take the match, pistols are the most important in this game.

If Gamers2 lose the match they will end up with 6 points and no chance to advance to the playoffs due to head-to-head loss against EnVyUs (who are the only other team that could finish on 6 points in that case).

But at least a draw or a win will send the Poles into the playoffs, while their position would be determined by other results in the group.
